Everything and Everywhere

For one who sees Me everywhere and sees everything in Me, I am never lost, nor is he ever lost to Me.

Vrindavan Atmosphere

Vrindavan's atmosphere is very sweet. But so long we have not completely freed our material attachment, even Vrindavan residence becomes uncongenial. This seeking for solitude is simply a reaction on our past nonsense activities, or it is negation, voidism. Our sound position is always being engaged in service of Krishna, that is the positive standing.

Material World

False happiness in the material world is the source of distress

Purpose of Married Life

The real purpose of married life is to live together peacefully, execute Krishna Consciousness, bring up children in Krishna Consciousness, so they will not again have to enter into this world of birth and death.

Because of the Lord

By giving everything to the cause of the Lord, one does not lose anything, but he gains everything that he could never otherwise expect.

Real Happiness

Maya will attack the body always, because the body itself is the source of all troubles. We try to make a solution of our misfortunes, but at the same time we want to keep this body. People do not understand the simple truth that if anyone wants real happiness, he has to get out of the entanglements of this material body, which is only possible by practice of Krishna Consciousness.

The Goal of Life

The living entity is ashraya, always subordinate, and the Supreme Personality of Godhead is vishaya, the supreme objective, the goal of life.

On the Hare Krishna Mantra

This sound vibration is not material, it is spiritual, and powerful beyond our conception. So it cannot be hindered in any way by something material; it surpasses all these material barriers. So you can know it that when you are chanting, you are also giving benefit to even the child in the womb.

Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Mukunda and Janaki, Los Angeles, February 28, 1968

Advancing in Krishna Consciousness

The more one feels imperfect in Krishna's service, the more he is advancing in Krishna Consciousness. Even the topmost devotees feel they are inadequate in their service to the Lord. So it is good to feel inadequate, and to try harder to please Krishna with better service. But one should never feel, oh, I have seen Krishna, and so I am reached perfection—this is not Krishna Consciousness.

Lord Opulence

The Lord is not dependent on anyone's mercy for His opulence: He is always self-sufficient.

Servant of Krishna

Humbleness is the sign of progress in Krishna Consciousness. A Krishna Consciousness person thinks always about himself as the lowest creature in the world, and the more one thinks like that he becomes elevated more and more. A Krishna Conscious person is never falsely puffed-up; he is satisfied with his humble position as the servant of the servant of the servant of Krishna.

Time Limits

Everything is within the limits of time, but time moves under the direction of the lord, who is therefore not within time's limit.

Surrender to Krishna's Lotus Feet

To surrender to Krishna all at once is not generally possible, but as we serve Krishna more and more, we gradually become more and more surrendered at His Lotus Feet. In the transcendental loving service of the Lord, it doesn't matter whether we are working, cooking, painting, writing, chanting, or whatever, they are all the same. There are no such distinctions of higher and lower on the transcendental platform. The important thing is that we are engaging our time and energy in the service of the Lord.

Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Karunamayi, (Los Angeles, February 25, 1968)

Because Human Life

Because human life is a combination of matter and spirit soul, the whole process of vedic knowledge is directed at liberating the spirit soul from the contamination of matter.

Krishna Services

Krishna has given some the opportunity to serve Him by nice writing, some by good business ability, some by nice cooking, and so on, but these various services are all accepted equally by Krishna. On the transcendental plane, one service is as good as another. There is no question of higher or lower. We are very tiny, and so we cannot really do very much. Simply we can engage our time and energy, and that is all Krishna sees. He sees this boy or girl is spending his time in My Service, and He is pleased.

Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Hamsaduta and Himavati (Los Angeles, March 3, 1968)

Perfectional Stage of Consciousness

When one becomes accustomed to inoffensive chanting, then his fruit is that he is promoted to the stage of pure Love of Godhead, or prema. This prema is the perfectional stage of consciousness and the most blissful by very far.

Truth of Krishna Consciousness

As the Vedas are eternal, so this truth of Krishna consciousness is also eternal.

Material World

In humble submission the devotee finds such sweet transcendental pleasure that no more he is interested in the nonsense material world and no more he is affected by the influence of the inferior energy, the maya.

Internal Potency of Lord

Lord appears by His internal potency just to save the saner section of humanity and to alleviate the burden due to the earthly administrators in different parts of the world.

Lotus Feet

The miracles of meditating on the lotus feet of the lord with eagerness and devotion are so great that no other process can compare to it.

Greatest Scholar Krishna

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu represented Himself as a very foolish disciple even though He proved Himself as the greatest scholar and was actually Krishna Himself. So one who feels humble and meek has the door for the Kingdom of God opened for him or her.

Supreme Lord

Everyone is at liberty to desire as he likes, but the desire is fulfilled by the Supreme Lord.

Power of Lord

The most wonderful manifestation of the Lord's power is exhibited when the infinite Lord becomes visible to our eyes as one of us.

Sticking to Krishna Consciousness

It is understood that everyone has some nasty habits, but by sticking to Krishna Consciousness, chanting our required rounds loudly, and tending the deities, these items will surely save you.So always be seriously engaged in serving Krishna and pray to Krishna to help you with your frailties.

Control of Krishna

Krishna is Controller and we are controlled. When we simply remember to accept the control of Krishna and not to act independently then all fortune is automatically present.

Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Brahmananda, (Los Angeles, December 11, 1968)

Simple Chant Hare Krishna

So our remedy for material life is very simple, simply to chant for Krishna,to dance for Krishna, to work, prepare nice foods for Krishna and then cent per cent we become fully free from all other influences. Please always remember this secret and show by example to all others.

Principle of Work

The fruits of our work are always given to Krishna and so Krishna accepts the responsibility of what these fruits shall be. So this is our principle of work.

Benefit of the Lord

The success of human life is considered when one fully surrenders his life, his wealth, his intelligence and his words for the benefit of the Lord.

Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Mrs Levine, (Los Angeles, January 10, 1969)

Prosecuting Krishna Consciousness

For prosecuting Krishna Consciousness one should not eat more than what is needed. One should not endeavor beyond his capacity. One should not talk unnecessarily. What one should do is chant the Holy Name of the Lord with faith, enthusiasm, and firm conviction on the statement of Lord Chaitanya that simply by chanting the Maha Mantra one can be gradually elevated to the highest platform of spiritual perfection.

Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Kanupriya, (Los Angeles, January 15, 1969)

Spiritual Engagement with Krishna

Do not let even one minute go by without doing some sort of service for Krishna. Because as soon as there is a little gap of Krishna Consciousness, immediately Maya makes an attack to grab us again. So keep up with your. Engagements and always think of Krishna so that Maya will not have a second's opportunity to try to conquer you. And Krishna gives all assurance that the sincere devotee will never know defeat.

Spiritual Advancement

In this age no one is able to remain aloof from the general human society. Therefore one need not go into the forest in a secluded place to try to make spiritual advancement. Much better idea is that one associate with devotees in the Krishna Consciousness Centers;this will bring better spiritual results than living in the forest. Krishna Consciousness is possible when one is in association of devotees.

Krishna's Service

Simply engage yourself in Krishna's service. That will protect you from any attack of Maya. Maya can take Krishna's place in our heart as soon as there is a slackness on our part. Otherwise, if Krishna's seated always, Maya has no opportunity to occupy the seat.

Krishna Association

When we keep our association with Krishna, every activity is proper and liberating but if we should dissociate ourselves from the Lord's Mercy then like a hand which is severed from the body we become ugly and useless.
